The newly renovated, high tech Roundhouse at UNSW in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs re opened in March 2018 and was home to the SIBF 2019, it was awesome and we will be back for the 2020 event! After over a year of refurbishments and more than $30m invested into making-over the beloved venue, it is truly amazing!

The light flooded, versatile space features the main round room with a massive dance floor and huge stage, plus breakout rooms, two bars and a beer garden. The venue also has world-class audio-visual equipment and concert grade production

The Roundhouse is at the heart of the University of New South Wales (UNSW) campus in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. It is only 15mins from Sydney’s CBD and 20mins to Sydney Airport. It is also close to the beautiful beaches that Sydney is famous for! Coogee beach is the closest beach to the venue and Randwick is the closest Shopping district.

Getting to the Roundhouse, UNSW is easy. Here is the up to date links for UNSW public transport and parking information at the Uni.

For Public Transport, we suggest the following BUSES

  • 891 – Express service to and from UNSW from Central station.
  • 890, 892 (peak hour), 392, 394, L94, 396, 397 and 399 operate along Elizabeth St in the city.
  • 370 from Leichardt, Glebe, Newtown Green Square and Coogee.
  • 400 from Bondi Junction, Airport, Rockdale and Burwood.
  • Other services include routes 302, 303, 348, 357, 359 and 410.

For Parking, we suggest the Barker St Car park on the Uni campus (enter via Barker st). This is metered between 7.30am – 7.30pm Mon – Fri. Free at other times. Free on weekends. Alternately, park in the NIDA Car park (across the road from the Roundhouse, next to NIDA). Note: Allow ample time to find a park and walk to the venue, this is a popular area!
