  1. I have bought my ticket online, now, what do I do?
    The SIBF is not issuing paper tickets, all you need to do is print the Trybooking / Paypal receipt and bring your ID to the registration desk. The receipt is the proof of purchase.
  2. I’m a performer, how do I pick up my pass?
    Your team leader should have submitted the TEAM FORMS, on which your name should be there, plus the payment for your performers pass. At the registration desk, bring your ID and mention your Team Name / School Name and your name.If you haven’t arranged your Performers pass, you can do so online, once you have purchased your Performers pass, please email us the confirmation, plus the name of your team to [email protected] Please arrange your performers passes ASAP!
  3. What does a Full Pass entitles to?
    A Full Pass entitles you to ALL workshops on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (except for the Master Workshop), Friday and Saturday shows and parties, PLUS entry to the Sunday night concert. The Welcome Party @ Mediterranean and After Parties (Sunday night after concert) are not included on the FULL PASS. Please refer to the event schedule
  4. Can minors attend the event?
    The day time DANCE WORKSHOPS are 14+ Events, Non licensed. Teenagers 14+ can attend the workshops, ONLY if they are accompanied by their guardian. If you are planning on attending the workshops, please contact the SIBF so we can organize your attendance. PARTIES & CONCERT are 18+ Events, and they are licensed events, where IDs are required.
  5. Will the venue serve food? Where can I eat during the event?
    Have your lunch and dinner at the event! All under one roof, so you don’t have to leave the venue & hunt for food! In the Courtyard, right off the main room there will be SOUTH AMERICAN FOOD STALLS! You’ll be able to feast on delicious authentic food including EMPANADAS, CHORIPAN, CHURROS & More! The Roundhouse will also provide healthy snacks as well their full bar service.
  6. Will there be photography and videography at the Festival?
    Yes, we have an amazing team of photographers that will be looking after every single area of the event. Our photographers will be uploading their photos to the SIBF FB page, and you can purchase any photo directly from the photographers. We will also have a videographer recording every show every night, and uploading them to our SIBF YouTube channel.
  7. Can I buy Bachata and dancing merchandise at the event?
    We have some great Stall Holders on board for all your dancing needs! You can expect to find some new dance shoes, a sexy outfit, some dance dvds and more!
  8. Where can I park? Is there parking available?
    There are two major parking stations:· Barker Street Carpark – Entry via Gate 14, Barker Street.· Botany Street Carpark – Enter via Gate 11, Botany Street.Parking is free on weekends and holidays! Meaning, parking will be free during the Bachata Festival! For more information check the Parking & Transportation Page
  9. Can I book privates with the instructors?
    Yes you can and we encourage it. For international instructors, you will have do to it at the Registration desk. For National instructors you will have to arrange this directly with them, as every instructor will have a different fee and arrangement.
  10. When do the workshops start? Are there going to be beginners workshops?
    Workshops start on Friday, 10am. Refer to the program schedule. And YES, there will be beginners workshops, in addition to intermediate and advanced workshops.
  11. How do I book for the Master workshop?
    You can book your spot at the registration desk during the festival. Limited places, to 50 people in total
  12. How can I get to the venue using public transportation?
    There are plenty of Buses to the UNSW.· The 891 Express buses take you from Central Station (Eddy Ave, Stand D) dropping you right at the Gate of UNSW.· 890, 892 UNSW (peak hour), 392, 394, L94, 396, 397 and 399 operate along Elizabeth St in the City.· 370 from Leichhardt, Glebe, Newtown, Green Square & Coogee.· 400 from Bondi Junction, Airport, Rockdale, Burwood.· Other services include routes 302, 303, 357, 359 and 410.   13. How can I get from the hotels to the venue? Is there a shuttle service
    YES, the SIBF has arranged a shuttle service from a single stop near the hotels to the venue. The shuttle will run every 30 mins and it will get you on time for the workshops. However, the hotels are not far away from the venue, 10 -15 min walk. Also, there are plenty of public transportation.
