Mayan Coffee Chocolate & Food

Mayan Coffee Chocolate & Food —- Traditional Foods of the Mayans (Guatemala Mexico) will be available at the Bachata Festival. The menu includes corn tortillas, chicken molé, Nachos chips, black beans, Huevos Rancheros, omelet’s, Chorizo & Organic Egg and bacon rolls all with Guacamole, mescalin salad and feta cheese. All our food offers gluten free & vegetarian options all freshly prepared, healthy and reasonably priced.

We sell a range of packaged single origin coffees, organic eating chocolates, organic drinking chocolate, and organic panela – evaporated sugar cane molasses. We sell coffee and hot chocolate to drink also with Chili & Cinnamon, as well as to take home. Our coffee beans are sourced directly from farming cooperatives in Guatemala, ensuring the growers receive a fair price for their product. The green beans are roasted locally, on a weekly basis. Our eating chocolates involve a unique range of Mayan flavours, combining dark chocolate with chili, cinnamon, coffee and cardamom. The drinking chocolate and panela are premium products with organic certification.

We are particularly dedicated to our social justice program and community work. Our label – Non-Colonialistic – reflects the philosophy and soul of the products we sell. We visit Guatemala regularly, forming relationships with cooperatives and community organisations. A proportion of our profits go to support schools and community programs involved with the Indigenous Mayan population of Guatemala.

Please visit our web site www.mayancoffe.com.au for more information about volunteering in Guatemala or about our social justice program.
