Moro was born in Havana, Cuba, where he studied dance and worked for many well known Cuban dance companies. His extraordinary talent and performance skills were noticed by the producers of the famous Havana Nights stage show where he was selected to perform as a lead dancer. The audiences in Mexico, France, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, Germany, Romania, Bulgeria, Japan and Australia among other countries, were able to enjoy his craft and the show received international recognition. Moro is the Artistic Director of Buena Vista.
Gabriela was born in Argentina, where she had extensive training in dance; holds a Degree in Classical Ballet Education, performed and taught Latin Cultural and Modern Dance in local, national, and international venues with numerous Brazilian companies. She has appeared on several Australian Arts TV programs and is now a member of Buena Vista Dance.
The company’s focus is to inculcate Cuban roots, emphasizing the origin of Salsa – Cuban Son,Cha cha cha, together with Afro-Cuban and Rumba , also other Latin Rhythms from Dominican Republic known as Bachata, & Brazilian Samba .
Moro and Alegria joined a Cuban Academy -Afro Cuban Express -and now they succesfully run the Buena Vista Dance Academy, teaching classes, performing all over Sydney , running workshops and organising trips Overseas yearly so their students get a taste of training Overseas with Profesional Academies & Dancers.
Since visiting Dominican Republic in 2008, they have been recognized as the Dominican Style Bachateros here in Australia.
Participating at
2009- TV program , for young people in DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, expreding the words of how Big Bachata is evolving in the World Outside Dominican Republic. Alegria danced after her Interview with Bachata Master,Luis whom she trainned for 2 weeks intensivelly & learn as much as possible to bring to Australia.
