Alisson and Audrey
Alisson hails from Brazil, São Paulo. His arrival into Perth in 2007, blew the top off the Latin dance world. He has made himself an integral part of the Juan Rando Dance Academy as the main Brazilian Dance Instructor where he teaches Brazilian Zouk, Samba de Gafieira, Argentine tango, Salsa, Forró and Axé. Alisson is also qualified in Salsa On1 and On2, Bolero, Tango, West Coast swing, and more. Having taught a variety of these styles in Brazil and around the world he is a great asset to the dance studio in Perth.
In 2009 he was specially invited to choreograph a group Zouk routine for the Australian Dance Festival. Alisson then spent 2 months in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand teaching, performing and choreographing. While in Singapore, Alisson choreographed the first zouk team in Singapore (for Two-Left Feet School). In 2010 Alisson also choreographed the first Forro Team to perform at the Sydney Salsa Congress which was a great success with the public and promoting Brazilian dance styles.
He has created BRAZUKA DANCE, the Brazillian wing which Alisson heads for Juan Rando Dance Academy. He is an aspiring and ambitious man with a forward view towards making the Brazillian Rhythms a huge success everywhere he goes.
Audrey is a recognized Brazilian Zouk dancer living and working in Perth Western Australia. Born in Reunion Island, she began to dance at the age of 3, with a background in contemporary, ballet, jazz and Bharatanatyam (traditional Indian dance) and she has performed and danced with many different companies around Reunion.
In 2010 Audrey travelled to Brazil to learn from some of the best Brazilian Zouk and Samba de Gafieira dance instructors. She is renowned as one of the best Zouk dancers and Zouk teachers in Australia, where she has not only gained valued experience, but also enormous recognition and respect from her fellow teachers and students alike. She has performed in Australian and a number of overseas countries and has had the opportunity to travel and teach dance workshops in Singapore, Dubai as well as Brazil Central 2010 (Brisbane) and the Sydney Salsa Congress 2011 (Sydney) offering students more technique and styling.
