The Sydney Bachata Festival is proud to present two of the best Latin artist: Jimmy Bauer and Prophex! They will be performing live on Sunday night for the BIGGEST BACHATA CONCERT in Australia!
JIMMY BAUER
Jimmy Bauer was born in New York City, of Dominican parents. From an early age showed great fondness for music and dancing, passion that led him to excel in the school of “TalentShow.” Link that later helped him come to belong to important musical groups as: Iris & Franklin, Manny Manuel, La Banda del Swing and Mambo, among others.
Jimmy Bauer throughout his more than 15 years of experience has had the opportunity to record 4 productions Merengue in Puerto Rico. After eight years of residence there and fill its stage of “Merenguero” the artist returned to New York where he meets with renowned music producer, singer Cherita Jimenez. The concerns of both pointed to the same direction: A new project with a unique style class and focused on a modern bachata and merged.
The success was immediate and in 2005 under the record label Gold Star Music of reggaeton Hector “The Father” releasing his first production which bears the title “Jimmy Bauer” reaching the highest levels of popularity, not only in Dominican Republic but in Puerto Rico, the U.S. and Europe.
Among its successes, we can mention “Por Ti,” “Te Recuerdo” and “All Your Stuff” whose lyrics calo both within the popular taste was the main theme of the Brazilian soap opera “The Force of Desire,” unprecedented in musical history of bachata, for any item in this genre had reached such a distinction.
The singer, songwriter and guitarist in a short time has seen the results of his hard work, that is why in 2005 and less than a year after Jimmy released his first production of bachata, manages to be nominated in two categories in the coveted “Cassandra” which served as a great encouragement to move forward in their efforts to make the best of your audience by selecting subjects who are to meet the demands of their fans and trying to be at the forefront not only in the musical aspect but also in dress and image.
After two years of absence, the “Baby Face” of bachata regains its space and delight the audience with a musical production that already promises to fill all the expectations musicalization level, arranged with a selection of letters, a deep romantic content like “Pop versions” of many of his themes.
Jimmy Bauer says:
“Perfect Time” is now, for these two years I have served as a catalyst to focus my energies on the composition of various themes and the selection of others who will advance to the liking of my “Fans”. Hence the name of my latest production makes reference to this phrase that represents my anticipated return to the stage.
Music is my life and the feedback I get from my “Fans” fills me with encouragement and strength to give it my best not only on stage but each of the themes of this production methods that is made with the soul and the intention of reaching the heart of all music fans of Jimmy Bauer and why not? Making new fans to my music, because now it’s “Perfect Time”
PROPHEX – EL PROFETA
Propheta, with a unique vision blended to form electrifying sounds, Propheta has worked with some of the music industries leading artists and record companies. Currently un-signed , Propheta, part of EL sistema powerhouse, has produced tracks for artists and labels from both the Urban and Latin markets, and has streamlined into Pop as well.
Propheta’s pursuance of production credits began early in his career. Mastering technicalities while introducing his own unique sounds to the equation has allowed Propheta to produce track after track of distinctive hits. Blending elements of hip hop, reggae, merengue, salsa and crunk among other genres, one of Propheta’s many sounds has evolved into something EL sistema refer to as “Crunkeo.” This heart pounding fusion of electrical elements result in melodies and beats in a realm of their own. Propheta’s production creds include remixes for Tego Calderon and daddy yankee among others, and complete album production on such works as Kings of New York La Extrategia del Reggaeton, Sextassy Reggae Gold, and Metropolis Beats among others. Propheta has since produced works for some of today’s hottest artists including Ashanti and Ja Rule, and is consistently noted by artists such as Tego on their tracks for his unique Reggae Crunk sound. Propheta has been featured on records alongside such artists as; Daddy Yankee on Destruction Total; El Chombo, Iorna, and BOB Sinclair on Papi Chulo Mix 2005; Vico C, Tego, Zion y Lennox on Gasolina Del Reggaeton; and Luny Tunes, Noriega, Cheka, Don Omar, and Volito on Reggaeton Exitos 2005. Propheta’s production continues to expand as demand for his anomalistic sounds grow steadily in Urban, Latin, and Mainstream markets.
