Overview
After the success of the first 2 years of the festival, the 2010 event is set to be the biggest yet! Latin Dance lovers from all over Australia and the world will come together to experience an amazing, inspiring weekend. Festival attendees can feast on a vast array of Workshops, witness some breathtaking shows and dance to the tunes of some of Australia’s finest Latin Djs. Over 20 student and professional teams have been selected from Australia in addition to our international guests. And once again, the Festival will bring a famous Urban Latin Bachata concert on the last night of the festival! This year we are proud to announce the group UNIQUE direct from the USA.
Our Mission
This event is directed by Sky Blue from Picante Latin Dance, Juan Ruiz from Bachatero’s and Nestor Manuelian from Modus Vivendi. All director’s are experienced Latin Dance teachers, performers and event organisers committed to “Spreading the love of Bachata in Australia”.
The festival focuses on celebrating Bachata, a sexy and sensual partner dance from the Dominican Republic. It will also include other popular Latin Rhythms like Salsa, Merengue, Zouk and Kizomba.
Our mission is to expand the awareness of Bachata dance and music throughout Australia and overseas and help the Latin dance industry grow as a whole.
